Happy Valentine’s Day to y’all! I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day spent with their special someone. Wesley has already given me my Valentine’s gift, but I’m giving him his this evening after I get off work. He gave me a beautiful Montana Silversmith necklace that I’ve been wanting ever since I laid eyes on it. It is a silver spur with “bling” covering the spur, hanging off of a pretty silver chain. I love it! I have been talking about that necklace since I moved up here & saw it. Then the florist came into the bank & had three small vases with 2-3 roses in each vase & handed them out to a few of the ladies here at the bank. They were all pretty arrangements. She then told us she’d be right back in, and came back with a HUGE arrangement of a dozen red roses. She walked straight to my desk and said “these are for you”! The other ladies in the bank all just stopped and stared. They said “boy our little flowers look like babies compared to that huge arrangement he sent you!” I just smiled back at them. Then they said “Wesley really loves you, you can tell that”. I said yes he does. I was so surprised by the flowers! I had no idea he was going to send me flowers at work…the necklace was perfect enough for Valentine’s day. But he did. He is so kind to me. I say it all the time but it is true…I’m very lucky and he has me very spoiled, so I get to brag about him anytime I want! I would disclose what I got him for V-day…but since he hasn’t received it yet, and just in case he goes on to read the blog before I get home, I don’t want to spoil his surprise. But, I think he’s going to like it a lot!
Last Friday I took off work so we could go get the truck windshield fixed (see “the dog blog” post if you don’t know what I’m talking about), and run some other errands we needed to get done in Miles City. We were on the go non-stop on Friday but at least we got everything done. The windshield was replaced and looks great. Then that evening we went out to Clint & Sarah’s house and had dinner with them & baby Jack. We played a game of cards, then headed home for the night. Saturday we had to feed everything on the ranch because Moo Moo & David were gone to Billings, so that took a while. Then Clint & Sarah came over and we all went coyote hunting. We got a few to come to us, but didn’t get to bring any back home with us. We hunted until dark, then Clint & Sarah headed home & Wesley & I cooked dinner, and watched the movie “Friends With Benefits”. I thought it was decent, but I wouldn’t see it again. Sunday afternoon we went prairie dog hunting, but didn’t get anything so we decided to call some coyotes. We didn’t see any coyotes this time, but we were able to get them to call back to us, so that was pretty neat. We cooked steaks for dinner Sunday evening, then played a game together.
Tonight, for Valentine’s day, Wesley is cooking me dinner, which consists of steaks, baked potatoes, and green bean casserole. I’m going to make a peach cobbler for dessert, and then we are going to watch a movie tonight. Since I already received my Valentine’s day gift, I’m going to give Wesley his when I get home this evening. Then we only have two more days of work this week and we have a 4 day weekend! I’m off Friday to celebrate my birthday with Wesley, and we are going to go to Billings to lunch for my birthday, and do a few other things we need to get done there. I’m excited to have 4 days off this weekend!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s day! And a very special Valentine’s Day wish to all my family back in Texas. Love y’all!!!
